What I'm reading in January
I set a reading goal of 26 books in 2019, I was dangerously close at 25 books, I would have made my goal if my reading bubble wasn’t burst the last few days of the year when some on-call work came up and pulled me away! I mean yeah… I guess I could have also paced out my reading a bit better earlier in the year, but that last bit of work really tipped me. ;)
In response to not quite making my goal in 2019, I decided to commit to 30 books in 2020. I know, makes little sense, but I’m in a good reading groove so I can do it. Here’s what I’ll be reading this month.
Ghost Empire by Richard Fidler - this one has been on my to read list for some time, so I decided to kick the year off with this massive 500 (ish) book. Might as well start strong.
The Secrets We Kept by Lara Prescott - one of my goals for this year is to broaden my social circle and my old book club really isn’t that committed anymore so I decided to join one at Avid Reader. This is their first book for the year and it sounds super intriguing. I’ll keep you posted on how the book club goes.
Morality for Beautiful Girls by Alexander McCall Smith - this is the third book in my newly discovered No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series. Can’t wait to pounce on it.
What are you reading this month? Do you make any reading goals, maybe part of goodreads?
