Krabi, Thailand

What I really needed after a week of cities and traffic and pollution and freezing, rickety overnight buses was some relax time. And I think the best place do that was in Krabi – southern Thailand.

I had been advised that Phuket wasn’t super necessary and was overrun with tourists (although, where isn’t, these days?), so I went to Krabi, which isn’t very far away.

It was a great way to end the holiday because I finally got the chance to relax, I woke up later and had breakfast overlooking the beach, and spent my days going on day trips out the islands and sitting on the beach, reading my book and drinking cocktails. Perfect.

Koh Phi Phi IslandOne of the days I decided to head into Krabi town, but it resembled too much of a bustling, soon to hassle the white girl travelling on her own, style of the other cities, so I quickly hopped the nearest tuk tuk back to Ao Nang (the beachside village where I was staying).

Unfortunately, Krabi was my last stop on my two week adventure before flying back to Bangkok and home again. So I’ll leave you with some more images from the last two weeks. 🙂
