We were met with a foggy morning on the mountain, but luckily we were leaving and New South Wales really turned it on for us once we got down the range.
Bathurst was a good place for us to stop for breakfast and, thanks to Smart Phone technology, my man found a place called The Hub with lots of recommendations from people on the interwebs. If you ever find yourself in Bathurst check it out.
But, of course, our primary reason for including Bathurst on the trip – aside from being on the way out of town – was to visit Mount Panorama. My boyfriend has a bit of an interest in racing and drift cars and you can drive the track any time of the year outside racing seasons. So here we go…
Orange was our next stop and I wish we’d had time to walk about a bit. Super pretty little town, the kind of town you think ‘hey, I could live here… if only I would be able to find work’.
On our way out of the Blue Mountains we’d hoped to have time to stop at the Jenolan Caves, but it was 70kms out of way. We were pretty happy when we stumbled across the Borenore Caves just outside of Orange, so stopped to get our exploring boots on.
